Hand-Blown Glasses
Our hand-blown glasses are expertly crafted by Mexican artisans. Slight variations in color, shape, or size make each glass a unique piece of art. The traditional Copitas feature a cobalt blue rim. The wide-mouth paired with the thick and heavy glass makes it a very enjoyable vessel to sip your favorite Mezcal or Tequila.
The Vaso Veladora
Experience the traditional way to enjoy Mezcal in Oaxaca. A cross marks the bottom of all Vaso Veladoras, revealing the cup's original purpose as containers for prayer candles in Catholic churches across Mexico. Centuries ago, the glasses were repurposed for drinking Mezcal and are now found abundantly in mezcalerias and restaurants around Mexico. The key to the Veladora glass is the broad mouth, which allows aromas to circulate better making them an ideal vessel for Mezcal. A popular saying in Oaxaca is "Hasta que veas la cruz" which translates to "Drink until you see the cross".
